3 Ways To Begin A Spiritual Awareness Practice
Manage your chatty mind.
Constant mind chatter can be destructive if not realistically managed.
Simply noticing your chatty mind when trying to focus on an important thought awakens your chatty distraction that "you are on to them.”
Redirecting your focus to an external exercise deters your destructive thought. Simply tapping your toes or rubbing your hands together for a few seconds can disrupt your unwelcome thoughts.
Naming your chatting mind destroys the invisible cloak surrounding it. You become aware of it and can now manage it.
Nourish your soul.
Nourishing your soul helps keep balance in your life when you feel overwhelmed, lost or out of control. Soul nourishing can help move you out of harsh situations and improve your daily life. Spending time in nature can help to relax and de-stress. Hiking, gardening, walking barefoot are all ways to connect with nature and feed your soul.
Meditating can bring you to the present. It helps you focus on being in the moment and listening to your higher self.
Consciously breathing helps you focus and relieves muscle stress. Deep breathing allows you to let go, a great way to nourish your soul.
Know what you want.
Knowing what we want is fundamental to finding ourselves. Recognizing our wants and desires helps us realize who we are and what's important to us.
Getting what we want can sometimes make us feel guilty, our inner critic will surface. We must learn to silence this inner critic and trust what makes us feel good.
When you are confident with what you want, you can communicate on a level that genuinely conveys your desire.
Changing your outlook to what you do want can make you feel more in touch with who you are. It strips you down to your basic desires connecting you to your core values and truest self.
